Information ubiquity is a reality these days. Information can be accessed across the globe, at all times. Everybody, everywhere, in all spheres of life, young or old, professional or
retired, is taking advantage of this ubiquity.
But this ubiquity has not been an unmixed blessing, it has brought its share of curses along. Ubiquity of information has facilitated fraud, anonymity of mischief-makers, breach of privacy of the honest citizen, and has brought danger closer home to the near and dear ones.
In this session we will talk about the yet-unexplored potential and dangers of this new society with ubiquitous information, the challenges it poses and what we, in the backwaters of Tohoku, are doing about it as educators, researchers, developers and business people.
